HOUSTON, TX., March 3, 2023 – Service Wire continues the company’s commitment to community investment with ribbon-cuttings for classrooms at San Jacinto College’s North and Generation Park Campuses. Last year, Service Wire stated that the company would invest in each of the company’s three home states, and the ribbon-cutting of the new Service Wire classrooms is a declaration of commitment to that promise in Houston.

The ceremony on the North Campus Feb. 3 dedicated a computer lab in Service Wire’s name in the campus’ Center for Industrial Technology. At the Generation Park Campus, the Feb. 16 event celebrated the naming of a new learning space. Both classrooms are part of a financial donation Service Wire made to San Jacinto College this year.

"We are proud to partner with higher education institutions like San Jacinto College that are shaping our next generation of leaders," said Louis Weisberg, president of Service Wire Company. "Our company feels it is a privilege to help foster a strong and vibrant community here in Houston.”

Dan Mims, San Jacinto College Board of Trustees member, echoed this sentiment. "Our college and community are stronger and better off with the participation of our community business leaders,” Mims said. “Our students benefit from their community engagement."

Asked about the importance of the occasion, Dr. Destry Dokes, executive director of the Generation Park Campus, said, "It is imperative that we have the support and financial backing of our industry partners to continue to deliver excellence at San Jacinto College."

The Service Wire classrooms at both campuses will serve San Jacinto College students in furthering their education and building on their technical knowledge for years to come. Service Wire remains committed to reinvesting in the future of the workforce in Phoenix, Arizona; Houston, Texas; and Huntington, West Virginia, with key partnerships at colleges and universities where the company's products are manufactured.
