One World Trade Center is one of the most iconic and important structures on the New York City skyline. More than just a commercial building, the Freedom Tower is a symbol of American resilience and hope after an unfathomable event. When the twin towers fell on September 11, 2001, plans were made shortly after to erect a new building in the place of the former World Trade Center complex. Working with leading New York area distributors and contractors, Service Wire Company completed one of the company's more meaningful projects in lower Manhattan. The company reports that more than a quarter million feet of Service Wire 600 Kcmil XHHW-2 cable was used in the construction of One World Trade Center. That's enough wire to stretch from Manhattan to Stamford, Connecticut.
